This is another great personal transportation machine for the light sport crowd. Fast, easy to fly and maintain this is another great example of aviation tech.
http://tecnam.net/ The Auto-Gyro Cavalon is another very interesting aircraft. Based on a 100 year old concept, this machine is a hybrid of airplane and helicopter. The rotor is unpowered and there is an an airplane styled pusher prop out back. It's one of the safest forms of aircraft with proper training and can take off and land within a very short distance.
